Attitude! Have you ever met people that always seem negative about everything? I was pondering this and how to help others move past their level of seeing things when God took me to the last three chapters (19-21) in Judges. Now, the scene here is not pretty. A Levite has lost his concubine and goes to fetch her from her fathers house. After a few days he leaves and stops overnight in another city where that night the men in the city demand for him to come out so they can have their way with him. Instead he throws his concubine out to them where they assault her all night and leave her for dead in the morning. Now, the Levite is not happy about this. So he takes her body home, cuts her up into twelve pieces and sends each piece to each of the twelve tribes with a letter telling them what has been done. This is gruesome stuff! But it doesn’t sound much different than what we hear on the news reports almost daily today! As the story continues the tribes gather and mount an offensive against the people who committed the horrible crime of killing the Levite’s concubine. Since they are from the tribes of Israel of course they inquire to God how to fight the battle. The LORD tells them to take thousands of men and go into battle. But they lose! So they inquire to the Lord again. Next day they’re back in battle and lose again! What is going on? Tens of thousands die! So, faithfully, they inquire the Lord again. This time the Lord gives them a different strategy based on how they had fought the two previous battles. They are told to set an ambush. This time they prevail and all ends well. Do you see any parallels to our daily lives and even the battle we as a church face? Many people have great expectations God has told them are coming to pass. Many prophecies and Words of exhortation, confirmation, and comfort have allowed them to foresee what blessing and destiny is about to come into their life! But wait, what have we here? Continued……….over As Soteria grows and matures as a ministry we continually shift our structure to fit the need and vision for the current work God desires. We are obedient to hear God’s voice and do what we’re told according to His will and His way. Soteria, is a progressive and continual work just as each person as individuals are a constant and progressive work of Christ being matured and loosed in our lives. Soteria Ministries has been established to identify, equip, and release people with their gifts, callings, and talents. We have already had a huge effect on many lives and pray we continue to do this even if the effect doesn’t always and immediately seem to be the most productive at the time! We understand God uses everything for the good for those who are called. We are called. Those whom God brings across our paths are called. Together we are all called to bring the Kingdom of God and His will to Earth as it is in Heaven! We have seen that during these times of recognition, training, and release, some will know they are called to be a part of our immediate family and some will come for a season, then released to their ministry destiny. Some will be called as a part of a directional team or facilitating board, or partner with us even though they are not an everyday part of the work. Some will help from a distance, or want to be a part of the ministry to help see it continue to do the work God has called us to do while being a member of another Church family or ministry elsewhere. This is why we’re now offering three different levels of participation in Soteria Ministries; Soteria Member Soteria Partner Soteria Friend Our mission is to equip and send out those God has called to be ministers of the Gospel of The KINGDOM!
