One Sunday we had a wonderful team show up but only lasted for one week. Next thing we knew the participants never returned. Some of them even left our Sunday gatherings completely. We know for a fact the enemy does not want true worship to rise up from downtown Asheville. It would break every stronghold and dark force that encompasses and draws many into its realm. Several other ministries have tried to establish a constant worship presence here. All of them have been thwarted one way or another from setting anchor. This WARSHIP must come in! We must raise the standard of praise and worship in downtown Asheville so that the light and sound of heaven can come in to dispel the darkness and lack of the power of Love here. It is even very hard to write about this even though there is so much to say. Many have been saying there is a  sound of heaven coming that will be heard. We have also felt this but moreover we, and others, have felt the  Glory of the Lord hovering just above our region. It is as though we could reach up and touch this mighty outpouring that is about to happen but we cannot stay in that place yet. It has to come lower to us. Many prayers have gone up and the more that do go up the lower the Glory of God comes to us. I have heard the Lord say, as I asked what it takes to finally have the fullness of this revival descend upon us, the word  Surrender . That means we must let go of our traditions, programs, and apathy in order to enter this Glory realm. A few weeks ago the Lord spoke and said the  sound of heaven is the sound of a contrite and repentant heart amongst the people, especially its leaders. Do you realize if every leader of this area would repent of their solitude, separatist, and protective attitude with a contrite and repentant heart, God would hear and heaven would open up with a resounding rush of Glory! Then and only then would there be a mighty new release of worship, ministry, and miracles released like none other we have ever seen. God is waiting on leaders to be the example of Jesus and love each other and their flock on the same level and with the same respect and dignity they all deserve. It is time leaders become enablers to help each person reach the destiny of their calling in Christ and lay aside any roadblocks that would prevent lay people from accelerating past a leader. It is the job of every leader to help someone go higher than they are! If heaven hears the sound of a contrite and repentant heart more Glory will fall upon us than we can handle. We will have to go to someone, anyone, and tell them about the overflowing abundance of joy and peace in our lives. When we begin to raise the level of corporate praise in this area ALL prisoners in bondage will be set free just as Paul and Silas when in prison. The enemy knows this and does not want the church to rise up in corporate worship. It would be the death toll for his plans no matter where it is done. We will begin to lay hands on people Con t WORD FOR THE MONTH PRAISE! Ps. 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, bless his name.  Now is the time to worship Jesus. Now is the time to gather all the children, all the elders, and all the people of God and sing a resounding song of praise throughout the land. When MY people enter in to MY courts with praise I will invade their courts, their cities, and their homes with MY presence. Continual praise establishes MY government and releases the captives so that many more can enter MY Kingdom that is now upon you. Praise clears the atmosphere for your Prayers to enter into MY presence as smoke and incense, filling the bowls in front of the altar to overflowing and causing MY right hand to be extended to the poor, sick, and hopeless. Below that was a large grass lawn where a black gentleman had mowed a strip of grass. Below that were three figures at the bottom of the lawn. Two gentlemen were dressed in business suits and briefcases. Their hands were extended reaching out to a third figure that faced them. This figure was none other than a brightly colored red, horned, and pitchfork wielding devil. Can you imagine? Inside this office was a monument to someone, could have been business, law, political, or even clergy, shaking hands with the devil. I knew this was not a place of favor. Thoughts from Melody Follow Through A recurring theme has arisen this past couple of weeks as I have been reading and attending various prayer meetings in town. The theme of teamwork seems to be prevalent on God s heart for this hour that we live  particularly, for the body of Christ. In these discussions on teamwork, one item of importance was frequently mentioned as a key to effective teamwork and participation in the greater body: We must stay with something till the job gets done. This really struck a chord in me as I had been personally waning in a few areas recently I believed the Lord had commissioned me to accomplish. In the book,  God s Armor Bearer, Vol 1 & 2 by Terry Nance, he discusses in detail the issue of our commitment as individuals to the people, leaders and tasks that God assigns us. Along with stating that we must stay with something till the job is finished, he also states that we  should never quit or give up. This spoke to my heart and I began to seek the Lord for direction in the areas that I have wanted to give up on as they have gotten dry, boring , tedious or difficult because they required some hard work relationally with others. As I pondered this, I was reminded of a teaching by Rick Joyner who said that the mundane in his life was just as necessary as the radical prophetic experiences the Lord took him through, for personal balance, character and an intimate relationship with God. This seems somewhat ironic, but it is clear that God is in all the details of our lives and just as He desires us to have dynamic experiences with Him, He also desires us to be faithful and committed to the tasks and relationships He has placed before us. He never promised that every experience would be fun, chill bumpy or exhilarating, but rather that He would bless us if we would not grow weary in well doing. In this hour where people are running to and fro with itching ears to hear the latest word or to have an exhilarating experience with God, I realize that God is asking us to keep plowing and sowing in the field he has placed us. The chill bumps come and go and we continue to rejoice when God shows up with His manifest presence, but our feelings do not dictate our faithfulness and follow through. Irregardless of our feelings, to be obedient, we must follow though with all he has given us; and until He releases us from a task, we should never quit or give up!
