 YOUR SOTERIA® AT WORK
THE STORY Of SOTERIA®
{so-tay-ree’-ah} Greek for SALVATION, DELIVERANCE, & HEALING
IT’S A WRAP! The end is near. Heard that one before? Ever seen a guy with a sign walking down the road lately with that written on it? What ever happened to them? What ever happened to the sense of urgency about the end of the world? Are we farther from the end now than before or is it we’ve just become accustomed and indifferent to the fact that it is the end?
Is it the end of our ability to run the race? Have we run out of breath, energy, and desire?
At the end of every year we normally take time out to look back and see what has happened over the last 12 months. At Soteria we have been through much! We officially opened our doors at a permanent location of February 5. On the January date we had planned it snowed heavily postponing the opening. But, we were there anyway and ministered hot coffee, warm gloves, and solid prayers for people on the streets. It was a sign of things to come as we’ve continually met people’s needs that happened to walk in or by our new facility in downtown Asheville.
The opening of Soteria kept us hopping all year as we continued to offer training classes and Sunday worship times. Stocking the bookstore and supernaturally obtaining a Starbucks license were providential and expensive. Even though we’ve kept carrying a debt all this year, and from the previous year, we are holding fast to our Faith that God will bring in the funds to clear all debts before next year, 2006.
We prophesied an aligning of Saints this year to come into position for use in the body of Christ overall and we prayed that an outpouring would come so the world would recognize Jesus was in charge in downtown Asheville, NC as well as the rest of the WNC region. The Lord was showing us Azusa St all year and we plan to attend the 100th anniversary in LA next year.

All year we’ve seen people saved, healed, and delivered from many things. One of the biggest deliverances we’ve experienced are from traditions and concepts of church from man. God has shown us the church of the years to come simply cannot remain the same as it has for many years. He is moving us into a new direction and allowing us to come to the place where we are so focused on Him we do not concern ourselves with what others have done, are doing, or should do. We are becoming an embodiment of Christ together as one to reach the unity of the knowledge of the Faith (trust) in Him and Him alone. We are wasting the class system of laity and leadership while building a foundation of the Apostle and Prophet as the ones who show the way for others to follow as they follow Christ. Leadership has returned to serving others, as the TITLE wave of the past has subsided and the serving wave of the present has arrived.
Our little storefront church has grown in the last 60 days to a point where we must now decide how God wants us to move ahead next year. This is an outpouring. Melody and I are going to close Soteria for the last two weeks of this year so that together we can seek the heart of God and find out His plan for the next season. We have many traditional paths of growth being offered to us, but we must seek the heart of God in order to find what is best for His church to do next year. The Lord is continually maturing His Church and His Saints so we cannot look back to see how it was done but look to Him to see how He wants it done. His order is perfect so we are seeking His perfect orders for Soteria.
We tout the fact we are a five fold ministry that teaches and supports a five fold teams effort. So far this past year we have had meetings with Apostle and Bishop Hamon, con’t.

WORD FOR THE MONTH
Math. 11:12—And from the time John the Baptist began preaching and baptizing until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people attack it.
Or until now, eager multitudes have been pressing into the Kingdom of Heaven.
It is no great thing to remain in the world and obtain the glory and riches of recognition by man and a church that is not flowing and growing by the Spirit of the living God. For I have set into motion the ability and the knowledge for any man to come into self righteousness and approval by his own works and deeds. But I, says the Lord, am looking for those who are lowly in heart and meek in manner. I am looking for those who are continually being molded into my image by my power pressing upon them to conform to my ways and my mind. It is surely a blessing to remove yourself from man’s titles and place yourself at the feet of those who need to know me so that they can see me through you. Seek my Kingdom first. It is the one who serves another that inherits my Kingdom. Whomever is outside my Kingdom suffers from the violence of the forces in battle to keep them from it. The Kingdom of God will forcefully prevail. Know your battle ground! Know your battle position. Use your weapons, prayer and fasting, that are not carnal to help others win!
