YOUR SOTERIA® AT WORK
THE STORY Of SOTERIA®
{so-tay-ree’-ah} Greek for SALVATION, DELIVERANCE, & HEALING
Bele Chere! No, I don’t know the exact meaning of the word but it has something to do with beautiful lady or gate, doorway, etc. What I do know is that for three days downtown Asheville is turned into a huge street party. Friday and Saturday night there are secular bands and people come in droves from all over the country to participate in many types of entertainment and self indulgence. And, we were right in the middle of it all.
All day Friday we were soliciting the public to come inside our facility and watch a “magic” show put on by one of the sweetest and most miraculous men I’ve ever met. Ricky Boone is physically handicapped and in a wheel chair but that did not stop him from performing tricks and slight of hand that continually revealed Christ behind each story and segment. While the show was going on inside we were outside praying and consoling people, selling and giving away water, and we had two balloon artists making terrific figures out of balloons for the kids.
Friday night we were blessed to have a Christian rapper drop by willing to sing his heart out for Jesus. So we gave him a microphone and a couple of speakers piped outside and cut him loose. Within minutes he had a crowd surrounding him and dancing to the name of Jesus! Unfortunately during Bele Chere everyone needs a permit to do anything so we were shut down outside after just two songs. But, being resourceful , we moved him and some of the crowd inside our facility. There the power of God continued to increase as people came in to hear and worship. We had salvation, deliverance, and emotional healing as worship continued on with Maria and Helena, two wonderful young ladies from the Ukraine. We were even visited by a Satanist who tried to disrupt things but was unsuccessful!

Again on Saturday and Sunday we canvassed the streets to bring people into a place where the Spirit of the Lord dwells and people of the body of Christ meet to learn and worship Him. To us this was an exercise of our Faith in public as well as an assurance of our Faith in our own heart that we can be exposed to 100,000 people without fear of man, or any other reason not to share the good news about the Kingdom of God through Jesus Christ. Pictures are posted on our website.
Another exiting event that has begun this last month is a radio appearance by yours truly every Wednesday at 12:30pm on 100.7 fm here in Asheville. This radio station is next door to us and run by my good friend I’ve come to know, John Hayes. Yes, that’s right he has the same last name as mine although his has an “e” in it. But John and I had been talking for so long over coffee and sharing the wonderful things God is doing not only in our lives, but in the lives of others we meet and in the city. So, we decided to take a half hour during lunch every week and talk live on the air about how wonderful serving the Lord is and all we see him doing in Asheville and the lives of the Saints all around us. I wish the live broadcast was on the internet but WRES-FM simply hasn’t the finances to utilize that type of media distribution yet. But every week John records the session and gives me a CD which I do upload to our website in case anyone desires to hear the conversation of two grown men declaring the wonderful works of the Lord.
We have had some other very interesting times this last month. We held a three day training seminar at Echo Mountain Inn in Hendersonville, NC about a hour south of us. Con’t

WORD FOR THE MONTH
JUDGEMENT
Jam 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of [his] brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
Jam 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Luk 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
The CRITICAL spirit in the church must cease! Judgment, condemnation, false expectation, and too much time and energy spent on measuring other’s acceptability is wasteful and unnecessary! Love one another, bear fruit!
