THE STORY Of SOTERIA®
{so-tay-ree’-ah} Greek for SALVATION, DELIVERANCE, & HEALING
Miracles ! We are continually seeing people’s lives dramatically changed. I remember how frustrating it used to be to have to go to work after a Sunday at Church where the power of God was so intense and people were healed, delivered, and set free from their bondages. I had what was almost a spiritual hangover on Monday morning because it seemed I had to revert back to the reality of the nine to five.
But these days it is totally different. After teaching “The Day of the Saints” book by Bishop Bill Hamon, more and more people are realizing they too can be miracle workers in their every day lives. Just this past week after class I saw two of our classmates ministering to street people at 10:00pm. It was a charge and a blessing to see that woman sitting on the park bench with her hands raised to God being set free and healed. We also had a young man from the street come in right in the middle of class two weeks ago with dire needs. His back pack had just been stolen which contained his insulin and meter, not to mention his good clothes and the only Bible he’d ever owned. It was a providential night because God moved on his life as we prayed for him as part of our class. He came back this week to testify how God has continually showed up in his life giving him a job, place to stay, and all his belongings replaced!
This happens frequently at our location. People just pop in from the street with needs that only God can handle. But we continually pray in Faith and by the Spirit for the revelation of His plan and His deliverance for them. We were surprised by another visit from a lady we had befriended when we first arrived to the streets in downtown Asheville over two and a half years ago. She was a commercial real estate agent and was building a brand new home in one of the ritziest

neighborhoods of Asheville. Unfortunately, she had tried to help many homeless and street kids but got caught up in their lifestyle and has ended up on crack cocaine herself. What do you do? Condemn her? Hardly. Many of us are still struggling with various issues in our lives that can mean a spiral downward quickly if we’re not careful. We know the biggest miracle is salvation, but we also know there are daily miracles that happen in the battle for the mind as the Kingdom of God is being advanced through each individual. When Jesus said he left the 99 to go after the one, He knew that each one of us continually battle with our own parts to be a part of His body. He knows and teaches us to put on the armor to fight the good fight and run the race which certainly is no picnic!
There are so many stories from the street I could relate. We are seeing results from the 30 days of prayer we held last month as a commission and charge from Bishop Hamon’s visit. Both new age churches and cults are now being shut down that were on each side of us. One is under “renovation” (which we believe the city won’t allow to reopen) and the other is being forced out by the building owner. Prayer works! We still need to agree the tattoo parlor and the three bars close and that righteous business will replace them. These are miracles since they would not have happened except someone prayed for His will to be done and His Kingdom come on Earth as it is in Heaven!
We know and can see evidence every day that the visitation which was prophesied from the first of this year is upon us. There are many people whose lives are changing dramatically, both con’t
